JAISALMER

Outpost on the Thar desert, the distant fortified Citadel of Jaisalmer is impressive by its walls and its massive towers. It is further evidence of its past splendor by mansions of merchants to the richly chiselled pink ochre sandstone facades: havelis.

 In the Citadel, we visit the Fort, built in the 15th century, temples Hindus represent a very nice set of jains beautifully carved temples. You can also visit the decorative chhattri (cenotaphs) of the rulers of Jaisalmer.
